As I said last night, the number seven is important in the Bible. The scripture speaks about how he sanctified the seventh day. And that term, sanctification relates to the purposes of God. So whenever seven appears in the Bible, we need to understand that it is teaching concerning the purposes of God. And this is highly relevant when we begin this, this next letter to the church at Sardis. Look with me, as we're ready now to begin chapter three
